About the Author

Cathy McClelland has been fascinated with the mysterious and magical realms of life since she was a child. Animals, nature, the moon, and the stars feed her imagination. Throughout her life she expressed inspired ideas and personal experiences through drawing and painting. As a youth an interest for the Tarot was kindled. The symbolism and the artwork of the Tarot ignited a passion to collect decks and to explore the different approaches to the ancient wisdom. She studied illustration at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and then moved to Lake Tahoe, surrounding herself with nature and its beauty. At Tahoe she worked as a freelanced illustrator, designer, art director, muralist, as well as creating spiritually inspired paintings. There she decided to create her own Tarot deck: The Star Tarot.
